Composer:
Karges, Wilhelm
Sample Producer:
Piotr Grabowski
Sample Set:
Mascioni, Azzio (2016)
Software:
Hauptwerk IV
Genre:
Baroque
Description:
The second piece by Karges from manuscript Am. B340 is a beautiful praeludium. It flows elegantly in long arching lines. There's not much in terms of thematic of motivic development, yet the music manages to form an coherent whole.
There are already two recordings of this piece available on the concerethall, playes by Andreas Osiander and Eric Simmons:

and
http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/16236
In the video that accompanies his recording Andreas gives an excellent reason for not using a 16' in the pedals. Which I choose to ignore...
