1. Awaken, sleepers, sing for joy; Salvation's day is near,
When Christ, the dawn of light and truth, Dispels the night of fear
2. Prepare yourselves to face the day of judgment and of grace,
To live as people of the light; God's perfect truth embrace.
3. Be vigilant; you cannot know the moment or the hour
When Christ will come, unheralded, with life-renewing pow'r.
4. All nations then shall gather round to learn His ways of peace,
Their spears turned into pruning hooks as worldly conflicts cease.
