There is only little information available about Johannes Pröger. He was born 1917 in Gotha and died 1994 in Konz. Since 1945 he was protestant vicar in Kirchheimbolanden, from 1950 to 1952 pastor in Gauersheim and teacher for religion and music. As an organist and musicologist he worked primarily on Mozart. He published two volumes with transcriptions (Mozart at the Organ) and some choral preludes.
