| Description: | Sebastian Prixner (1744-1799)
On the internet there is not much information on Sebastian Prixner. There is a rather big essay on his life and work, but only in German.
The link to the thesis is here:
https://frobeniusforster.hypotheses.org/396
Prixner studied theology and music in Regensburg.
From 1763 on he lived in the monastery of Emmeram, where he was known as “an excellent organist and an overall outstanding scholar”.
He was the inspector of the Seminar and the organ teacher and choir master of the monastery for 23 years. |
