An Wasserflüssen Babylon, BWV 653 Uploaded by: pahasoft Composer: Bach, J. S. Organ: 1761/2005 J. A. Silbermann-Metzler, Arlesheim, Switzerland Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 410
A second upload of this work, with adjusted registration.
A comment to the previous upload suggested that the LH/Ped registration was a bit too heavy.
I've experimented and come up with this alternative.
RH is stil on Swell Cornet IV with Bourdon 8 and Tremulant.
LH is now on Positive Bourdon 8 (replacing Principal 8) plus Octave 4.
Pedal is now independent, involving Pedal Bourdon 16 coupled to Great Bourdon 8. I tried the Bourdon 8 on the Pedal but it was too soft, and the Flute 8 on the pedal was too "woofy" - but the Great Bourdon 8 was clear and incisive without being too loud.
Comparing the two versions, this one is definitely lighter in the LH/Ped, without losing any of the LH clarity.
