Rondeau: Les Fifres

Yet another little gem that has not been uploaded before.

Jean-François Dandrieu (c. 1682-1738) certainly needs NO introduction. This version was arranged for organ by E.Power Biggs and appears in ‘The Biggs Book Of Organ Music’.

The original comes is in the ‘Pieces de Clavecin, Première Livre (1724), Quatrième Suite,' it is available on the IMSLP website, and included below.

It is a rondeau in 4 sections, the 1st and 4th are played on the Copula Major 8’, the
2nd and 3rd on the Copula Minor 4’.

The original key is A Major, I transposed it down to F Major because I run out of keys at the top otherwise ;-)
