Spanish composer Mateo Soto (b. 1972) was born in Cartagena. He was educated at the Conservatory “Manuel Massotti Littel” in Murcia with Manuel Seco de Arpe. Soto is head of the composition department at the Conservatory of Cartagena. He has composed in many genres and his works have been performed by musicians and ensembles in Europe and the USA.
