Description: | The third prelude of Kauffmann’s “Harmonische Seelenlust” that employs the oboe for the choral melody is as beautiful as the two I posted earlier. This time it is a slow movement, full of ‘Seufzer’ in the organ part. The registration prescription Kauffmann gives for these pieces with oboe is interesting as well: the three pieces I posted until now have a somewhat stronger registration for the left hand than for the right hand. Very good for learning to play trio-like textures.
Registration:
BW: Vox Humana 8′, Flagfluit 4′ (LH)
HW: Viola di Gamba 8′, Oboe 8′ (Oboe)
RW: Holpijp 8′, Quintadena 8′ (RH)
Ped: Subbas 16′, Holfluit 8′.
