It is said, that this piece was played to accompany the congregation and they were that slow Bach had to fill in some cadences. Well, true or not - Harald Vogel said once to us students, that we should play this little fantastic piece in the speed of Rijssen (where extrem slow singing is documented).

And again Caen for Baroque: the Positif does supply nice reeds for the pedal, doesn't it?
