Adriaan Kousemaker (1909–1984) — Preludio (1960) for organ
Dutch composer and organist Adriaan Kousemaker (1909–1984) was educated at the Amsterdam Conservatory. From 1932 until his retirement in 1974 he was organist at the Mary Magdalena Church in Goes. He was also director of the music school on Gorinchem, where his pupils included noted composers Frans van Tilburg and Daan Manneke. In 1942 he founded the publishing company “Ars Nova,” which released numerous works of church music by contemporary Dutch composers.
