I am rather pleased with myself because I have unearthed two new pieces by A E Floyd just by searching the Internet rather than coming across them in a dusty organ loft (less romantic I know). They are Andante Serious in D and Maestoso in E flat, both copyrighted 1913, so they would go together with the Prelude in F (already uploaded) to make a group of three short pieces. Music attached.
There is an out of print collection of Floyd’s music Musical Miniatures: Nineteen pieces by A. E. Floyd (Kevin Mayhew, 1997) which contains the Prelude, but for some reason, not the other two. My search showed that these three pieces are in the three volume Ingoing Voluntaries: a collection of original works by modern organ composers; edited by A Eaglefield Hull. https://urresearch.rochester.edu/institutionalPublicationPublicView.action?institutionalItemId=6346
Now if you are interested in Floyd’s music, inundate Kevin Mayhew with requests that Musical Miniatures be reprinted or made available for sale online. https://www.kevinmayhew.com
