Description: | Johann Bernhard Bach (1676 – 1749) was second cousin to Johann Sebastian Bach. Not much of his works survive, but the few works that did survive are of high quality. The prelude on “Vom Himmel hoch da komm ich her” is a wonderful trio, with the choral melody in long solemn notes, accompanied by a lively almost frivolous soprano voice.
For comparison's sake this recording uses just the fornt samples.
