The Cuckoo Clock

This piece was first improvised in 2013 on the Utrecht organ. I long forgot about it until just the other day and I decided to notate it and share it here.

It is an homage to Haydn and Mozart's small compositions written for mechanical clocks. Light and cheerful, this will hopefully bring a smile to your face.

The score is provided below. You may perform and share it freely (send me a recording (or post it here) if you do-- I'd love to hear it!). NB: the "tick marks" are used to mark small lifts between phrases. This seemed a much more economical way of indicating the phrases than by using slurs which would have prevented the piece from fitting onto one page.
