Henry Coleman Two Interludes on Hymn Tunes. Quam Dilecta.
Richard Henry Pinwill Coleman (3 April 1888 – 17 February 1965) born in Dartmouth and was a chorister at St George's Church, Ramsgate. He studied organ under Sydney Nicholson at Carlisle Cathedral and Manchester Cathedral.
Held the position of Assistant Organist of: Manchester Cathedral 1908–1912 and organist of Peterborough Cathedral 1921-1944.
He died in Eastbourne, England.
"Quam Dilecta" means "how lovely", but in this context it refers to the 84th Psalm, which is often called simply the Quam Dilecta.
The tune by Henry Lascelles Jenner is usually used for the words ‘We love the place, O God.
