Description:	Carl Piutti (1846-1902) was organist at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig and the predecessor of Karl Straube. This paraphrase about the first notes of the hymn is printed in "Carl Piutti: Ausgewählte Choralvorspiele" by Forberg publishers. A three volume edition by Bärenreiter makes 200 choral preludes (his op. 34) accessible.
