Cesar Franck's (1822-1890) L'organiste provides a wealth of material for the organist to choose from. All keys, moods, and tonal colors are present.
I've used this piece to demonstrate the amazing strings of the Holzhey organ.
In order to provide time to "hear the difference," I've played each "section" twice - first on the uncoupled strings of the Hauptwerk, and then on the uncoupled strings of the Positiv.
What an amazing celeste sound!!!
This piece, as well as a number of other uploads, are all part of my upcoming review of the wonderful new Wiesseanu sample set by Prospectum. It will soon be featured on "The Barde," so, please take a look!
