02 - Pastorale Op. 59

Danny Koschinski of Virtual Pipes asked me to play some compositions by Max Reger as an introduction to the new sample set of the Walcker organ in Wildervank (1913). These recordings are created on the beta 10 version of the sample set, the final version is soon to be released. I play the first 6 pieces of the 12 Stücke for die Orgel Op. 59 to demonstrate the various possibilities and sounds. These works are often being played on much larger organs, but I think it is nice to hear them now on this sample set of the late romantic organ by E.F. Walcker with its 43 stops.
