Description: | Back to the "baby" Paramount (which is really no "baby" organ!) for a medley of tunes from what was, in my humble opinion, the best musical to have ever been written. It takes the organ through the entire range of sounds - including full organ sans tremulant - and always draws rave remarks from my audiences. I hope you enjoy it at least half as much as I have enjoyed playing it.

A personal note about the song Edelweiss. Many years ago I had a female Miniature American Eskimo dog named Edelweiss, who met a very tragic end at only 2 years old when a friend of mine who had some very serious emotional problems aggravated by alcoholism decided to end his life by dousing himself, Edelweiss, and my car with lighter fluid and striking a match. He was a phenomenal organist who had studied as a Fulbright Scholar with Helmut Walcha and had it not been for his problems would undoubtedly be one of the finest concert organists on the circuit today. Whenever I play the song Edelweiss, it is always as a tribute to my little four-legged girl who so perfectly fit the lyrics to the song, "Small and white, clean and bright, you (were) happy to greet me". |
