It was surreal for me to be able to present this piece on an instrument that Widor himself might have played since his family had a close friendship with Cavaille-Coll. Certainly he would have at least composed this piece with the tonalities of the CC organs in mind. I use this frequently for prelude or offertory, as well as the rare occaision when I do a recital where I like to "blow the minds" of the average listener when I announce that the melody is played by the feet!
