David N. Johnson (1922–1987) — Wondrous Love (1965) for organ

David N. Johnson (1922–1987) was educated at the Curtis Institute of Music, Texas University, and Syracuse University. He held faculty positions at Syracuse University, St. Olaf College, and Arizona State University. Johnson composed many organ and choral works for church use as well as several organ method books. His three best-known works are “Trumpet Tune in D”, “The Lone Wild Bird”, and the hymn tune DEXTER (“Earth and All Stars”).
