As I am replacing a friend in the Anglican church in Javea, this wonderful hymn is on my list for sunday.
Actually it is the first I really had to practice: the setting is rather tricky, at least for me, and I could not play it prima vista. It is more a small composition with everything included than just a setting and all the more beautiful for that!
David did this hymn before on Salisbury; his upload can be heard here:

There is also the info on the hymn to be found.
I think it also sounds exceptionally well on the brilliant Metz.
This is a tribute to David: I tried to play it according to all the hints he gave regarding hymn playing on the concert hall, instructing by example as well, and as Anglican as possible, mostly on a somewhat bigger registration.
Thanks David, for just being around on the concert hall: inspiring US all with your playing, your stories and your comments .
