Douglas E. Wagner (b. 1952) was born in Chicago, Illinois and educated at Butler University. After a 35 year career as a high school music educator and administrator, he has devoted his activities exclusively to composition. Wagner has published over 2,500 works as a composer and arranger since 1973, which have collectively sold over 15 million copies throughout the world. His work spans many genres, from sacred choral to secular concert band. Wagner has also worked as a church musician in several denominations and has served as an organ editor for the Lorenz Corporation.
