Original in italian:
1. O Cristo Redentore
per noi dal ciel disceso,
di questa carne il peso
vestisti nel dolore:
su dura croce esanime
scontasti i nostri error.
[Rit.] Gesù, noi t'adoriamo
dalla croce pendente;
noi ti benediciamo
per le genti redente.
2. Perdona, o Dio d'amore,
dall'alto della croce:
preghiamo con la voce
degli umili, o Signore:
perdona a noi colpevoli
d'avere agito mal. (Rit.)
1. O Christ the Redeemer
for us to come down from heaven,
this meat weight
didst clothe in pain:
on tough cross lifeless
Accept our error.
[Rit.] Jesus, we adore you
from the cross pendant;
we bless you
for the people redeemed.
2. Forgive, O God of love,
from the cross:
Please with the voice
the humble, O Lord:
Forgive us guilty
to have acted badly. (Rit.)
