This improvisation has as its founding theme Gustav Holst’s tune commonly known as Thaxted – it’s the principle them one hears in the Jupiter movement of Holst’s Planets – Jupiter – as Holst envisioned him, was the bringer of Joviality.
If inclined to watch the video - first - you can skip to about minute 4:49 if you want to skip the religio-philisophical discussion prior to the music although I suppose it might help in understanding the "why" of this improvisation. Also - Youtube seems to EQ these things oddly making the end sound over saturated. A better version of the video maybe found at https://archive.org/details/ImprovisationBlog1
