Variations over "Ein Maennlein steht im Walde"

Franz Lehrndorfer (1928 - 2013) was cathedral organist and professor at the conservatory in Munich. He became famous because of his art of improvisation.
In 1968 he recorded improvisations over nursery rhymes on the Steinmeyer-organ (built 1959 and replaced 1999 by a new instrument from Kuhn, Switzerland) of the Munich conservatory. In 1988 Ralf Boelting wrote down the sheet music of "Ein Maennlein steht im Walde" and they were published in 2014.
