From Reger's opus 67: "52 easy preludes to the most used choral melodies." (zweiundfunfztig leicht ausfuhrbare Choralvorspiele).

This chorale prelude is about life's ending.
I chose to ignore the dynamics, that Reger indicated, because otherwise I could not have used the lamenting and lonely-sounding Rugwerk Cornet, which I think fits this moving piece perfectly.
