Josef Rheinberger (1839-1901) composed many smaller works in addition to his monumental 20 Sonatas.

I've had these "Ten Trios, Op. 49" done for awhile, but have held back from posting them, as I did not want to hog board space...

I played these on the wonderful Sauer organ, as it seemed to provide all the warmth and colors demanded by the music.

The set ends with an F major canon between two manuals, continued until the final bars, a perfect conclusion to a series of eminently practical short pieces.
