Lionel Simpson (1903–1999) — Sea Peace, op. 53 (1987) for organ
Composer Lionel Simpson (1903–1999) was born in London and spent his career in the county of Dorset in the region of South West England. He served as organist and choirmaster in the village of Corfe Castle and was timpanist for the Westbourne Orchestra, for which he wrote several works including “Golden Symphony” in 1979.
