Description:	As the winter weather begins to bite, here is a little reminder of the better things that come with this time of year. Even though the piece was first conceived by Leroy Anderson in a heatwave in July 1946, it had a while to cool off before the first performance in 1949 by the Boston Pops Orchestra lead by Arthur Fiedler. The consumption of mince pies and mulled wine should be considered obligatory with this music !!
