Composer: Boëly, Alexandre-Pierre-Francois
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Utrecht - Dom, Bätz Organ
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Romantic
Description:
This piece takes a special place in organ representations of storms, battles, etc. which was so popular at the beginning of the 19th century. For the first time in the organ repertoire we find the use of the tone-cluster.
This verse from the 'Te Deum Laudamus' op.32 paints a picture of the last day of judgement.
At the end a terrifying noise portrays the fall of the stars and the destruction of creation, but everything ends happily with a 'chorus of the chosen ones'....

I wasn't satiesfied anymore with my older recording from 2010 on the Laeken sample set, so I have deleted that one.
