Johann Gottlieb Goldberg (1727 - 1756) was a talented keyboard player and a pupil of Bach. Indeed it was him whom Bach's Goldberg variations are named after.
Not many of Goldberg's own compositions have survived, mainly due to the fact that the composer was rather self critical and used to tear many of his works up.
Among the surviving works is a collections of of 24 Polonaises in All keys for keyboard instruments.
Here is Polonaise No. 1 in c major.
I took the liberty to leave out the repeats in this recording.
