Mendelssohn - Op.35 N°5 Prelude Uploaded by: jepisi Composer: Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Felix Organ: St. Peter and St. Paul, Cudham (beta) Software: Hauptwerk VI Views: 45
It's been a while I didn't record anything. University doesn't let a lot of time and it's summer as well. I can say, this prelude was quite a challenge for me, especially in the part where Mr.Lemmens modulates it in enhamornic Gb Major. I must admit that my teacher forced me to learn it (since I prefer minor keys) for a more 3-Dimensional understanding/sight-reading of music and after learning it I must say I don't regret it. I've sent it to some girls on facebook, and the feedback is quite nice. Here is one of the comments: ''I would get married on this tune, once and forever''.Sounds like some interesting wedding material after all ;). I used shiny registration with no reeds, and a Bourdon 32 on pedal as an extra power for the bass. To the final Eb Major chord, I added a 5th Dominant on the pedal to make it more glorious. Enjoy :-)))
