TRURO CATHEDRAL

Hi! Does anyone know of any plans to sample the magnificent Father Willis at Truro? (See Richard McVeigh's youtube series ('Beauty in Sound') on recording Truro + Andrew Wyatt's Easter recital.)

I agree that "the Little Giant" is a magnificent instrument in splendid acoustics, but I doubt if we'll see it sampled.

I think there just isn't enough interest in these English gems.

Certainly, there is more "flourish" with a new German Baroque or French Romantic instrument.

However, I completely agree that the Truro Willis is a spectacular organ.

Peace!

There are already several other large Willis organs. I wish there was at least one early William Hill organ. Also, even though I do not like Harrison instruments with their trombas and leathered diapason lips, I do feel there this type of organ should be represented - such as Bristol St Mary Redcliffe.
