Renaissance organ for Hauptwerk.

Hi,

I am very interested in Renaissance organ music.
But I have not been able to find a German or Dutch Renaissance organ that has a mixture for Hauptwerk.
I need to play some Sweelinck and Sheidemann.
Could someone recommend me one?
Thank you!

This is my first time creating a forum so I dont know exactly what i'm doing, so I hope this is okay.

Hy Buxtehude,
if you are looking for a German or Dutch Renaissance sample set I can only think of the beautiful Kiedrich sample set made by Sonus paradisi. Read also the history of the organ, it's fascinating. The sample was masterfully recorded and processed, as Zurek usually does. It doesn't take many stops to "fill" the sound, each stop can be used as a soloist.

Hello Buxtehude,

Always wanted to write to Buxtehude, well, my wish has come true ;)

It seems you are looking for a sample set for Renaissance and early baroque, since Sweelinck and Scheidemann are composers which mark the end of the Renaissance and the beginning of the baroque period.

As Anto800 says, Kiedrich is very fitting.
I want to add Altenbruch to that list. It's very appropriate for Scheidemann, Scheidt (pupils of Sweelinck). And Sweelinck sounds also very good on that organ. Especially on the Rückpositiv.

Information and price can be found here:

I want to add to my previous post that there are more appropriate sample sets, but this is the one I have experience with.

I have the Schnitger Steinkirchen.
I also tested Stade.
There are both Really Good for Scheidemann,Sweelink,Scheidt and Buxtehude.
But the Sets are very different ( like the real Instruments are)
Definitely reccomend to get a Test liszens and try them.

Hi, Thank you!

Can you tell me how to get this trial license?

Hi,

I am glad to have made your wish come true! ;)

I am thinking of getting the Kiedrich organ.

I also have the Altenbruch and I agree that it is very good for Scheidemann.
(And also my music;)
