Thanks for this super performance of this fine voluntary by Walond. I think Walond really perfected the English Cornet Voluntary with his often quite long Cornet and Echo movements. I also love the tension created in the albeit short first movement.
So pleased you are using the G. Phillips editions of these Voluntaries. It is down to him that we now have these authentic collections of English organ music.

A very fine rendition of this Walond piece.
Just the right reflective tempo in the introduction and some nice fireworks in the second part.
Thanks and REC.

Dave, I found this to be a very delightful piece, once getting past the introductory portion. Fantastic playing and registrations as always. I've never heard of William Walond before. Thanks for the introduction to his music.

THANKS, Jim!

Yes, I understand what you are saying, but ALL of these "voluntaries" have a "prelude" played on the diapasons. It's absolutely essential part of the style and repertoire.

A Voluntary of great quality, both in the 'melancholic' and in the 'brilliant' section, performed with great balance and musicality.

A marvellous Voluntary of the time and one of many of this style but I always have a soft spot for Walond so thanks.
