Composer: Ireland, John
Sample Producer: Milan Digital Audio
Sample Set: Salisbury Cathedral Father Willis
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Late Romantic
Description:
This is a nice little dance that has the dignity of the minuet until...

Until you come to the 2nd section.

At this point, Ireland shows that he MUST have been a fan of theater organ music!

It becomes more of a waltz, and although he calls for Swell Flutes 8' & 4', plus Oboe and Tremulant, it's pretty clear that the Vox Humana is the ONLY way to go! Ireland probably didn't have a vox... ;-)

You gotta love this, and it's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

The minuet returns, and the suite ends in a light and cheerful G major.

This "small" suite shows how Ireland was a master of the various forms and colors. It's all quite "pastoral" in style, and although it works very well on the organ, it could CERTAINLY be played by a small orchestra!

I hope you like it! :-)
