Hornpipe in D from Water Music Uploaded by: sanden Composer: Händel, G.F. Organ: 1845/80 Ducroquet- Cavaillé-Coll, Aix, France Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 705
You are listening to the famous Hornpipe in an arrangement that has been transposed from D to F Major, and includes some improvisations (including a variation in d minor) before the final recapitulation. In order to accommodate the 9+ second full reverb tail of the Esztergom organ, I had to perform the work slightly slower, more detached, and take liberties with grand pauses, to allow the sound to be intelligible.
