‘Wij moeten Gode zingen’ (NLB 731) (We must sing the Lord) is a hymn about the exile of the people of Israel to Babel. That’s the reason for the melancholic melody of Willem Vogel. Nevertheless, Gods helps us, is the message of Willem Barnard in this hymn, therefor He is worth singing.
For the recording I first used the sampleset of Haarlem and then (4.20) Groningen.
I know, the organs hardly can be compared, but which one do you enjoy most?
