Description:
Organ music published after Bach and before Franck is generally - but for some well-established composers like Mendelssohn - not very highly considered and it's often a pity. This Knecht's (1752-1817) Cantabile has - IMHO - much charm with a quasi-Lefeburian flavour.
Although, perhaps it would have been still more effective if somewhat shorter (and also if played a bit faster), but it's only a personal opinion.
