Description: | Please enjoy my new composition, Petite Suite pour Grand Orgue Op. 12.
It consists of 3 parts: Prélude, Procession, Berceuse.
The terrible incident with Notre Dame in Paris shocked the world. The idea that the incomparible majestic great organ might have been destroyed produced sleepless nights with many organists around the world. It seems a miracle that the organ now appears to be saved.
The Suite, in honor of the instrument, opens with a Prélude with a rather melancholic theme, sober and introvert. This part has many silences and interruptions, indicating the sudden changes that might behappen in life.
The second part, Procession, is a joyous ceremonial march celebrating the splendor and majesty of the Holy Virgin, such as I witnessed in Barrada Virgen de la Sierra, Cabra, Spain.
The last part, Berceuse, starts with a meditative canon based on the initial theme, ending in a quiet state of contemplative rest, to comfort those who have been disturbed by turbulent events.
