Meanwhile, I think I got better a bit on "transhearing" of the Boëllmann S.G. chorale, so I decided to give it another try. Gladly, the Furtwängler & Hammer jumped in at exactly the right time, so why not try a bit of French Romantic organ music on a North German Romantic organ? :-)
For me, this instrument felt spot-on for that piece. The louder parts utilized the fixed "Tutti" registration while the softer ones used a manual selection of stops, since the p/mf settings were slightly off my personal intent. Plus -- allow me to reiterate -- the reverb in that building is just marvellous!
