Description: | These pieces that are being uploaded today are intended to be the "final" uploads in my very soon to be released review of the new SP Hill organ.
It is my intent to demonstrate every stop, so, these relatively small uploads are designed to showcase specifics stops/sounds that have otherwise not be covered in my recordings of the organ.
I'm afraid this upload may not be very interesting. It is designed solely to show the addition of all the Great 8' foundations stops, added one by one, with the 4' Principal at the end.
If I want to "link" the recordings in my sample set spotlight, I MUST upload them here, so, I ask your indulgence.
This old Gospel Hymn is known by the name, "Shining Shore". It was composed by George Frederick Root (1820-1895), and was on my music rack since I will be doing a piece on which the piece is based - but that's an entirely different project!
In this upload you hear the following stops, all on the Great: Open Diapason Small 8', ADD Stopped Diapason 8', ADD Gamba 8', ADD Open Diapason 8', ADD Principal 4'.
The score is attached below, as well as a photo of George F. Root.
This is the FINAL PLANNED UPLOAD for the review.
With any luck, my sample set spotlight should be completed by tomorrow or the day after at the latest. I hope you will check it out! |
