I've been missing from CCH for some months due to work pressures. I've listened in from time to time to others' uploads without commenting, but I've had no chance to upload anything new myself.
Here's a repeat offering, though on a different sample set.
Recently I tidied up this lovely little trio to demonstrate to my classes. I have a Hauptwerk setup in each of the schools where I work as a specialist music teacher, teaching classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. One setup contains a 20-note Hammond pedalboard, while the others have 17-note and 13-note MIDI pedalboards respectively. Each has 2 manuals using Behringer UMX-610 keyboards plus a single launchpad to assist with stop control. I carry with me a 15-inch Macbook Pro laptop with memory boosted to 16 GB, and this works quite well either through the classroom sound system or via headphones (I use a pair linked with a Y-adapter so one student can listen while another plays). Using these setups I can introduce students right down to Kindergarten to the organ (using pedal extenders for the smaller students). It's just a taste, but it gives them hands-on experience in the classroom and they love it.
This trio is playable on the instrument with the 20-note pedalboard, and gives an excellent illustration to classes of how an organist manages three independent parts at the same time. Students sit on the floor with a commanding view of the pedals, as the keyboards are supported by a basic keyboard stand which is open underneath.
I've uploaded this trio here previously, but here it is again. This time I've used the Arlesheim sample set from OAM. MIDI file attached.
