Description:
Variation 24: Canon at the Octave

An homage to the mighty Toccata in F-Dur BWV540, which begins with a canon at the octave over a pedal point.

The ground bass is stated twice, plus a coda, swapping canonic leader and follower at phrase endings along the way. The upper parts remain strictly canonic throughout, to the last note.
