Teresa Procaccini (b. 1934) — Elevazione, op. 231 (2014) for organ
Italian composer Teresa Procaccini (b. 1934) was born in Cerignola and studied organ with Fernando Germani and composition with Virgilio Mortari. From 1972 through 2001 she taught composition at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. Procaccini has written several hundred musical works in many genres, including numerous works for professional performers and a very wide variety of compositions for children and young musicians. Procaccini’s music has been performed around the world and is published by a number of publishers including Sonzogno, Edipan, Carisch, Bongiovanni, Curci, Zanibon, Leduc, Seesaw, Rugginenti, Scomegna, Pizzicato Helvetia, Wicky, Carrara, Berbén, and Eleutheria.
