Manuscript Mus Ms 30195 contains three preludes by Johann Peter Kellner, two of which are followed by a fugue. As far as I could find these three have not been published before. They are typical works by Kellner in that the quality is not very consistent. The first has an uninspired prelude that is followed by a very nice fugue. The second has a nice idea that is however unevenly worked out and contains a lot of compositional or transcription errors. The third and last one is the most consistent, with a concertant prelude and a short manualiter fugue, based on a chromatic theme.
This is the first of the three. The manuscript has two alternatives for the solo pedal line. Both are represented in the score, in my performance I chose the alternative in the footnote.
