14 Musikaliske Galanterie Stycker (Galant musical pieces)
These are in 3 uploads and were composed by a 6th generation relative of mine from the Tuxen side of my family. Carl’s father was Johannes Hiob Thielo (1685-1735) an organist of Roskilde Cathedral and his half brother Nicolai Hendrich Thielo an organist and possibly an organ builder.

Carl August Thielo (1707 - 1763) was born in Hsterkb in Nordsjlland, Denmark
but he moved early in live to Germany. He received his musical education
from Johann Gottfried Walther, amongst others. At the age of 18, Thielo
returned to Copenhagen. In 1733 he married Judithe Kielsen, and
in 1735 gave birth to a daughter Caroline Amalie, who became an actresses with her own interesting story.
In 1746 Thielo founded the first opera house in Denmark and was the director.
Among his publications is this collection of 'galant' pieces, published in
1753. It is a collection of keyboard pieces, both original and transcriptions
of orchestral pieces, and vocal pieces. Thielo was probably more the editor
of this collection then the composer, but since no information is given in
the publication this remains uncertain.

The source for this music is a manuscript from 1753, held by the Kongelige Bibliothek in Kopenhagn and available on the web.
I approached our member Auke and he kindly agreed to edit the music into this legible edition.
