Op 65 no 63 Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten. (Invenzione ed Interludio)
This is an absolute gem of a piece hiding at the end of the 66 pieces of Opus 65. The first line of this stately chorale is announced in the first half bar and then again but much slower in the opening of the middle Quasi Adagio section. The first section moves from A minor to A major and this key change is reversed in the third section. The first part of the second line is often repeated for example in the haunting 7th and 8th bars of the middle section. Such musical depth in just this one 4 minute work!
