Description: | This is the only composition I know from Albert Pomper. It's from his First Sonata and as far as I know, only this movement has been published.
Pomper was born in 1862 and at age 6 he lost his sight.
He received his musical education at the Institute for the blind in Amsterdam; later he was appointed as the organ teacher at the same school. Albert Pomper was the organist of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam. He passed away in 1917.
To me playing this piece again was a little sentimental journey: I played it 34 years ago at my first public organ recital...
