In dulci jubilo

Jean-Paul Frisch was, born October 29, 1945 in Zell, and died 27 April 2013. He was an amateur composer, a conductor, and a Musekspedagog at the Central Conservatory.

"In dulci jubilo" is the 3rd of "Drei Choräle zu Weihnachten. It is a grandiose setting played here upon the full organ. Manual figurations ride above the melody which thunders forth in the pedal, played with 32' and reed stops drawn. :-)

There is a very "different sort of feel" to it, and it makes a great Christmas postlude.
